I have always loved drum & bass, especially (IMO) the golden age of the late 90's. Almost every DJ worth their salt where dropping a classic D&B track into their sets. Check out Oakenfold's Global Underground Olso & New York sessions to see what I mean. Everything but the girl also got the message and knock out some brilliant D&B tracks, some of which I have selected on the mix. Hope you like.

OPENING TRACK!!!!!!!! - Yes, yes, YES. Hypnotic synth swirls, zaps, and chimes lead into low decibel pads. Gliding bass viola riff, steel chamber drums. 48:30 - A CLASSIC. Female vocal hook, "Take me up," true ambient and operatic vibez. All vets will recognize this track. 53:30 - Compelling female vocals, "We belong, reach for the stars," as the piano does just that. 57:15 - Coda....ensoulment female vocals....as lights and shadows rapidly pass (Moog).
- You ever have those days where you need a couple "breather" moments? This ambient d&b voyage is an easy listen. The instrumentation offers Zen and aura vibez with some Tracey Thorn distinctive vocals. There are other well-placed tracks with the same disposition, however, this isn't gloomy. For golden age (late 1990s) d&b fans that want breezy melodies and taps (high snares), this is tranquility. (59 mins 30 secs - Breezy & Tranquil d&b)
